It has taken a long time for me to get back here.
This haiku can be applied in different ways, not only to a romantic relationship.
On clear icy night
Your diamond eyes shine brilliantly
Stars in my heart
Someone is shining in your heart

This photo I took when coming out of a language center where I help at times. It was evening and I was worried about something. I looked up and saw the clouds illuminated by a golden sun, a foreboding of a thunderstorm.
Then suddenly I saw this magnificent rainbow above it. Maybe not to worry after all.
This photo and the Haiku I believe compliment each other perfectly.
Storm clouds gathering
Passing through or hiding from it
See the light beyond
For everyone fond of C. S. Lewis (Not just ‘Narnia’) I took the liberty to put up on my website this poem of C. S. Lewis and the short story it inspired me to write, as well as my own poem, a sequel to the poem above.
For anyone, who can read (and wants to read it, has time on their hands, while waiting for your favorite TV show, anxiously waiting for your dentist appointment etc. etc. especially those, who want to join a war, fight, etc. etc.) a new short Short Story added on my WP site. “Life of Plankton before being swallowed by a Whale”
Well, hi there,
Another year has arrived, like a blank sheet of paper ready to be written on. Even though there are many things, which we cannot control, to a great degree what happens depends on us. Some people make New Year resolutions, some make plans for the new year, and others leave it a sheet blank for now, open to whatever comes into their lives.
I think we should do all three, try to improve in whichever way we feel is necessary, make some plans and stay open to new things coming to meet us on our journey.
Of course, it helps greatly if you have the faith to pray and believe that God is with you through this year. In any case, wish you the best and that some of your dreams may come true.

P.S. If you’re looking for a good book to read, look up my newly added page “Books I read” in the Links section.
Well, Christmas is here. I wish everyone a wonderful time and to spend some beautiful hours with the people they love. And let’s not forget to pray for those who don’t have the privilege to live this day in peace.
By the way there is a Christmas story now on the short story page. What would it be like if Jesus would have been born in New York in modern times?
Well, I finally managed to add the sample translation for a chapter from “Game of Thrones”. This chapter about ‘Bran’ I had been particularly impressed with. I translated it without reading the ‘official’ German translation first, because I wanted to see how I would fare comparatively speaking.
I would like those who speak both languages to read both A and B and tell me what they think without me saying which translation I did. (My own evaluation was 50/50, but maybe I was biased.)
I love George Martin’s writing, though I wonder if he got lost in his own story.
I hope he’ll be able to finish before he dies. (Or I)
Well, come on, George, what’s keeping you? Let’s get to work!
I’m just starting to redo my website/ WordPress presence. See you soon for more!
