Birds’ Call

A flock of migrating cranes flies in front of the moon in Linum near Berlin

Come        Come        Come

Come        Come        Come

Come       Come

Come       Come

Come        Come         Come

We’re calling everyone
From the fields of loneliness
From the fields of despair
From the drowning shadows
From the toil and care

When the cold winds blow
When the shadows loom
When the light grows dim
Flowers shed their bloom

From exasperation and devastation
Disillusion and confusion
Cancellation and consternation
And frustration
Strong delusion, vile intrusion
From pollution and digression
Absolution and oppression
Misconceptions, misinformation
Misunderstanding, misrepresentation
Misinterpretation, miscalculation

From envious neighbors
Tired lovers
Callous hearts which love not others
Evil minds and false brothers
Judges who will justice bend
Violence has filled the land

Come         Come         Come         Come         Come

Come         Come          Come        Come

Come         Come          Come

Come          Come

Come

Come                                                                    Come

Come                                                       Come

Come                                          Come

Come                              Come

Come                  Come

Come     Come

Come
